Its thickness gradually increases after it is opened. In the end, the sound insulation effect of the final installation is really excellent.

The acoustic foam panels are initially vacuum sealed. They take 24 hours to expand or even faster if you wet and dry them. (too many to do so, I just waited the full 24 hours) I purchased a large quantity (52 pack) so there was four sealed bags that had to be expanded before placing on the wall.They sticky adhesive was strong enough to hold the acoustic foam up and they give you plenty of them (6 to hold each acoustic panel). I like to keep the foam attached to each other because it creates a full solid inch of foam against the wall. I covered my whole wall facing the bathroom and the other wall facing another room. My roommate noticed a decrease in sound coming out of my room. I noticed a decrease in sound coming from late night bathroom usage. Does the job well.Did not expect so much coverage for the money since one foam board from Home Depot or Lowe's cost as much as I paid to cover two walls. Will buy again if I need insulation from the walls facing outdoors.

These sound panels were amazing. They stick on well and the adhesive is great. It is super easy to set up and assemble. They feel really durable and thick, and it really helps to keep outside noise out. It is definitely worth the money. I would really recommend this product.

I didn't read the description well enough it seems, because I had purchased some adhesive velcro command strips in order to hang them. little did I know that the box comes with some double sided adhesive pads to mount them. I bought them to reduce the echo when I'm using a microphone that others hear sometimes, as well as to reduce the background noise. They definitely do the job and for the price I was surprised how well they actually did. Depending on the environment more packs of it may be needed, but still a good product, at a fair price.
