We do a lot of holiday decorating and have giant hardwood trees that drop giant drifts of leaves onto our roof so my husband spends a lot of time up there. This is great for keeping the ladder from damaging the edges of the shingles and keeping him stable against the house. It took a while to figure out as the instructions are not quite as clear as we would have preferred but we figured it out.

We have some obnoxious overhangs, where our rang gutters attached. I had really debated duct taping a bucket to the ladder to help it stand away from the wall a little bit more for that additional clearance. This ended up being a much better solution!

Like any attachment, make sure it sits well, and is firmly affixed, especially in the instance of scaling 7 feet or more. Caution is key with any attachment, you wouldn't want to risk injury.

I had once feel straight down from the roof, about 11 feet, and spiral fractured my leg. I'm always cautious about ladders, so, I played with this a bit and found the right feel, so my anxiety was reduced before scaling the ladder.

If you’ve ever climbed a ladder and thought, “This feels like a bad idea,” you need this stabilizer. The LotFun Ladder Stabilizer is like giving your ladder its own bodyguard—suddenly, those shaky roof or wall jobs feel a whole lot safer and more, well, stable.

Assembly is straightforward, which is great because no one wants to wrestle with parts while staring up at a terrifying height. Once attached, this standoff keeps your ladder at a perfect distance from gutters, siding, or walls—no more scuff marks or risky leaning angles. It adjusts easily, and the steel build feels sturdy and solid enough to trust with your life (or at least 350 pounds of you plus tools).

I tested it on a roof clean-up job, and the difference was night and day. Not only did I feel safer and more balanced, but I could actually focus on the task instead of imagining myself tumbling off like a cartoon character. Plus, it’s a back-saver—no awkward stretching or leaning to reach what you’re working on.

If you’re serious about safety or just tired of feeling like a wobbly daredevil, this ladder stabilizer is 100% worth it. Safety isn’t optional, and this thing makes it look easy.
