This came extremely packed. If its dented or bent, it ain't because the shipper skimped on packaging.

Arriving in a very thick cardboard box, the unboxing experience took a few minutes. After hacking off one end of the box and sliding the ramp out, then came the removal of plastic wrap, foamed plastic bits, and hard cardboard corners before I actually got down to the ramp itself.

Ok, one ramp, check. One small zip lock baggie with misc parts, check. Ramp as a detent style pin, check. Chain is not connected to anything, hmm. Maybe a bolt in the baggie? Nope, baggie has two gloves (nice touch, sharp edges) a wheel caster, a bolt and what looks like a washer. Oh! There is an instruction manual for my ramp. Not sure why I need one, but nice to know its there if I'm ever stuck on a desert island and need reading material.

Didn't bother with the wheel, very limited need for this ramp so easy enough to carry with the included handle. Removed safety pin, and opened up. Slight rise in the center due tot he hinges, which have a bit of play (more on that later) which will not dissuade the 3 wheel mobility scooter from going up it. Aggressive anti slip material covers the floor pan, and it has yellow and black caution tape as a visual reference for the edges.

Ok, time to fold back up. Hmm, folds easily, but can't get the locking pin in place. Unfold, try again. Again. What is wrong? Turns out the hinges have a slight amount of up and down motion as well as opening side to side. After realizing this, was able to set it on its spine, and slightly adjust up and down till alignment occurred and I could drop the pin into place. That took under 2 minutes of confusion, and swearing before resolved.

I can recommend this item for folks who need a movable ramp - I got 48" as that is the proper size for my steps that need a bypass, and not to steep an angle for the height. Make sure you understand length to rise to angle when contemplating using a ramp, otherwise gravity is *not* your friend
